Padma Murty, MDiv, is the Executive Director of Sweet Savour Ministries India.  She has devoted her life to serving the poorest of the poor.  Her faith in Christ propels her into radical love and service for his precious people in need.  

It began with a dream.  Three, to be exact.  In her dreams she saw the devastating poverty of a leper colony.  In the first dream, she saw their great needs and felt overwhelmed with fear.  In the second dream, she heard their cries for help.  And in the third dream a strong wind blew her into the colony.   Initially she felt drawn to simply give with compassion when she saw lepers begging by the road.  But upon her first visit of the leper colony, she saw the same scene from her dream and knew this was her life's calling.  To give her life serving the poorest of the poor and the sickest of the sick in her country.  

When asked "why do you spend your life serving these people?" she replied, 

“Because this call my from God.  I am helping these children because they are the most needy children in India. My heart is moved for them because their parents are leprosy patients and have NO hope in their current situation.  We want to stand with them and give them a proper education, food, and healthcare.  

One day I believe they believe they will be the best of our nation.”
